INTIMATE GLENORCHY ELOPEMENT – BREE & TIM
In October, I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Bree & Tim’s Glenorchy Elopement. (Actually, Bree & Tim’s Glenorchy Wharf Elopement, to be more specific). Glenorchy is a quiet little town located just 40 minutes drive north of Queenstown and nestled between huge mountains and the shores of Lake Wakatipu. It’s a stunning spot to get married.
On the day of Bree & Tim’s Glenorchy Elopement, the weather was simply stunning. The skies were blue with perfect “Simpsons” clouds, there was hardly a breath of wind and Lake Wakatipu itself was calm (quite a rare event in itself). Bree & Tim chose to have an Elopement Style Wedding with just their closest friends and family in attendance. They tied the knot at the very end of the Glenorchy Wharf. (Note: the Glenorchy Wharf is a popular spot with sightseers. So don’t be surprised if you turn up for a Glenorchy Wharf Elopement on a sunny day and there are loads of people on the Wharf. But usually people are pretty good about giving you space if you’re in a wedding dress!). With sunlight sparkling off the water and snow-capped mountains the views were breathtaking. Queenstown celebrant Betty Turnbull did a lovely job of the vows and the ceremony and the whole wedding was intimate, natural and very relaxed – just my cup of tea!
After the wedding, I got the loveliest thank you email from Bree & Tim. It really was short and sweet.
“Oh My God Patrick they are amazing!!! You are an absolute genius! I honestly cannot thank you enough.
Bree & Tim”.
When all is said and done, it’s emails like this that keep me going as a wedding photographer.
Anyhoo, that’s enough wiffle-waffle from me. Below are the Sneak Peek images and slideshow that Bree & Tim loved so much.
