It was a total pleasure photographing Jenna & Tim’s Elopement at St John’s Presbyterian Church in Arrowtown. Jenna and Tim and their family were just such lovely kind and relaxed people and their wedding day was down to earth, totally natural and also very relaxed. I loved every minute of it!

Jenna and Tim married one fine autumn day at St John’s Presbyterian Church in Arrowtown. It was a small Elopement but they were surrounded by their nearest and dearest friends and family.

I love St John’s Presbyterian Church – it is such a beautiful old building. It features two massive trees on either side of the gate and these beautiful blue wooden double doors that for some reason always make me think of a hobbits hole (although clearly if they were the door to a hobbit’s hole they would be round!).

It was a lovely ceremony, just really simple but with some lovely touches like family members playing guitar and singing, a unity sand ceremony and loads of hugs and confetti when they walked out of the church hand-in-hand as man and wife.

After the ceremony, I drove Jenna and Tim out to Speargrass Flat Road followed by Lake Hayes for some location photos. There had been a lot of rain recently and the Lake Hayes Reserve was still flooded with huge puddles and loads of ducks everywhere. This made for some awesome reflection shots.

I had decided right from the first moment I met Jenna and Tim that they were awesome, but they climbed even higher in my estimation when they casually asked at Lake Hayes “Do you want us to put our gumboots on?”. I LOVE the fact that they brought their gumboots with them on their wedding day!

Below is a small selection of some of my favourite images from Jenna and Tim’s Arrowtown Elopement.
